Over the past few months I’ve been developing a map that takes advantage of TF2’s newly supported camera system. Overall, it turned out super well; so well, in fact, that I fully fleshed it out as its own gamemode and invited my friends to try it out with me. And dare I say it, the gameplay was a lot of fun! I’ll definitely update it sometime in the future to fix some of the gameplay issues we found, but for now I’m super happy with what’s been done. (Also yes, I know it’s hard to see when the power goes out. That’s the point.) Let me know if you have any advice for the map and/or mode!

01.03.2023I have few suggestions you could make for the mode:
-(This one might already be a thing and I just haven't noticed) defenders shouldn't be allowed to go back into the office area at least when power is off, because it lets them just pick of spies one without leaving spies any way to fight back. (If it's a thing) invisible one way wall should work.
-You could cap spies health at 90 putting it below 1 hit shotgun threshold. Making it so that mindlessly gangbanging someone would work as all it takes is 3 well aimed shots to kill all spies. Huntsman might become a problem after that, so you can nerf huntsman damage accordingly or just buff shotgun damage to 125 and so it won't affect pistol and smg as well.

25.02.2023A strategy that could make it more defender sided is for the defenders to go into spawn when the office gets swarmed. This gives the defenders at least 6s to kill the spies before they get to cap the point.

25.02.2023i'd love to see how you implement the balance, and yeah shorter timer sounds good, in the og fnaf games the nights got shorter and shorter, started at 6 in 1 then like 3:25 in ucn if i remember correctly lol.

24.02.2023the s.p.i.e.s was designed to specifically entertain the mercenaries by doing the "spy crab" dance
they have been well known to be very comedic and often times silly while performing
however thats during daytime…its when it becomes dark time that they start to show their glitches
thats why we have metal doors that are manually controlled by the staff themselves to stop them from searching up porn on youtube and breaking their systems even more
its YOUR job to protect their eyeballs from such explicit content….so thats why we hired you,the kind and innocent people to do our dirty work

22.02.2023I really like this map, so I wanted to create some ways to balance it that I think will make it more fun and a better time if this were a game others played. I think you should only allow guards to only be classes with shotguns to make the guards more balanced since sniper seems a little unbalanced due to the huntsman and smg. In my opinion, melees other than stock and shotgun variations should be allowed to allow more variation in games on top of the 4 optional classes. Also obviously no primaries, or in engineers case no secondaries. If you were to only allow pyro, soldier, heavy, and engineer I think they can all bring someone good to the table. Pyro would be a decently weak team player due to his alright hp compared to other classes and weak shotguns, but has access to the sharpened volcano fragment to mark the cloaked enemy spies. Pyro also has the powerjack which is a great all rounder with its extra movement speed and health restore upon kill, the back scratcher to do high dmg, or the homewrecker to help a fellow engineer. The soldier is a bit of a lone wolf and has the same weak shotgun options as pyro, but has a bit more hp than pyro and melees that reward him only such as the half-zatoichi or escape plan. (maybe no equalizer because it's too strong, but that needs some playtesting.) I think to give soldier some variety he could optionally use a banner instead of a shotgun to pair with his strong melees. The buff banner and conch could be great for a solo soldier to easily dominate over the enemies, but the battalion's backup could be used for a rare team player soldier to protect over enemy pushes. The heavy is a strong team player with the highest hp and with the very strong family business. The heavy has access to super strong melees such as the KGB, warrior's spirit, and the very underrated eviction notice, but also has the GRU to help against how slow he is and how he is the most vulnerable to enemy spies. Lastly, the engineer has the most variation in his class with the ability to be a huge team player or a deadly force even though he has the least hp. I think to prevent him being too strong though, he should only have the ability to build dispensers so he has to choose over protecting his team or being a glass cannon nuisance with his dispenser by blocking doors. The engineer has the strong widowmaker that needs no reload if he wants to play offensive, the pomson to be a bigger nuisance, or the rescue ranger to be a team player by protecting the strong healing source a level 3 dispenser is. The engineer can also use the southern hospitality to mark any cloaked enemy spies, the jag to quickly get his dispenser back up, or the very popular gunslinger for extra max hp and the crit on the third hit against enemies. I think this balance is probably the most necessary, because even though it essentially makes the frontier justice and eureka effect useless it will prevent him from always being used in actual games. That's all I have for the security guards, and luckily the animatronics won't take as long. The animatronics should also be able to use any melee, invis watch, and sapper I guess of their choosing. The revolver can also be used, but should always be stock to be more fair. Whatever weapons used, the premise of the animatronics is pretty much the same, just depends on the situation and how they're used. If possible though, spy should definitely have more hp. If spy could just have 25 more max hp or at the very least 50 overheal after spawning it would make it a tad bit more fair. That's all I have for the animatronics now, and that's pretty much it. If you were to make this an actual map people could play (because that's the whole reason why i wrote this lol) I think 8 max players would be the best. 5 animatronics, 3 guards. Maybe if it becomes popular you could make a bigger map or something for more players. Anyways, I just think the whole thing is a cool idea. A lot of people like me enjoy it, and maybe with a little balancing it could be something a lot of people could enjoy and play. TL:DR; remove sniper, all security guards can be soldier, pyro, heavy, and engi. obviously no primaries for guards (secondary for engi), but have access to all melees and shotgun variations. soldier can optionally use banners instead of a shotgun, engineer can only build dispensers. spies can use any weapons but revolver must be stock. more max players?
